Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, born April 26, 1991 also known professionally by the name Ari Lennox, hails from Washington, D.C. and was the first female to be signed to J. Cole's Dreamville Records label. The first single, Pho was released on the 21st of October, 2016 and was released on Dreamville Records. The singer began to earn notoriety. Shea Butter Baby released her first studio album on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox began uploading her tracks online in the year 2012 after she dropped her mixtape debut Five Finger Discount, and her debut EP Ariography in the year 2013. Ari Lennox continued to upload her music online in 2014 and released her own single Bound. In 2015, she was featured on Omen's Elephant Eyes album on Sweat it out on July 21st. J. Cole asked her to join him in collaboration for Rihanna's references. In the following season, the music was circulating around Dreamville. Her announcement to be signed by Dreamville Records was made on the 8th of December. The release album Revenge of the Dreamers II She was on the track Backseat with Cozz. She released Pho, her debut EP on October 21, 2016. Ari Lennox was a guest on J. Cole's Change and also performed as part of her own 4 Your Eyez Only Tour as the opening artist. The singer also performed in the music videos Nothing but the Best by EarthGang as well as Icarus with Bas the label's co-founders. On July 16 2018 Ari Lennox released the first single Whipped Cream of her album debut Shea Butter Baby with an accompanying music video that was released on the 5th of September. The second single she released was called Grampa on the 9th of November. Then on the 13th of November, two brand new singles, titled The No One and Pedigree. She appeared with Cole on the Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby On November 16th, and released the song in a solo version for her first album. The track was released with a video posted on YouTube on February 20, 2019, has been watched over three million times over the first seven days. In support of the track She toured in concert with 6LACK in December 2018 on their From East Atlanta With Love Tour.
